ABOUT THIS SCULPTURE
This portrait sculpture of the once Junior U.S. Senator from Illinois, Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and first African-American President of the United States of America is cast right here at Cruz Cast Arts, one of the U.S.'s more modern art foundries, specializing in bonded-metal and rare and unique blends. This half-scale sculpture is the perfect size to be displayed on any desk, mantle or shelf. Each statue is finished, patinated and polished by hand, then expertly mounted onto a solid black marble base. Engraved brass plaque reads:

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Sculptor J.T.Cross, known for his figurative sculpture, candid portraits of famous and historical figures, and valued art coins, created this portrait bust of Barack Obama in 2009, painstakingly perfecting every detail to capture not only the likeness of President Obama, but also to create an iconic sculpture that will serve to commemorate this historic era for generations to come.
The artist is currently working on a new coin release to raise money for the relief effort for Haiti.
